/ ALLERGEN POLICY

Little Miss Muffin is committed to using high quality ingredients. All desserts on the menu are made fresh and from scratch without the use of preservatives or stabilizers. The use of artificial flavors and colors is kept to a minimum and wherever possible fresh ingredients are used for both flavor and color in all the baked goods.

Little Miss Muffin is a certified home bakery. Which means, most of the movable equipment and ingredients used are stored separately from those meant for personal use. However, since this is not a commercial kitchen, the workspaces and some of the equipment are also used to process common allergens like, but not limited to dairy, eggs and nuts. We try our best to avoid cross contamination at all costs when required. But unfortunately, we cannot absolutely rule out presence of trace amounts of these allergens in our baked goods.

Since Little Miss Muffin is NOT an allergen-free, vegetarian, gluten-free business and our baked goods may contain or come into contact with common allergens, Little Miss Muffin will not be liable for adverse reactions to food consumed or other items an individual may come into contact with while eating any of our products.

We do, however, offer egg free options for most of the desserts on the menu. Please contact us to discuss your options.

/ CARING FOR YOUR DESSERTS
  • Pick and carry your dessert box from the bottom only and never from the top or the sides

  • Keep desserts levels at all times during transit, display and storage

  • Transport desserts in an air-conditioned vehicle making sure the box rests on a flat surface

  • Store desserts in the refrigerator and away from direct sunlight, moisture or heat when outside to prevent melting and fading

  • Take cakes and cupcakes out of cold storage 1-2 hours and macarons 45 minutes before serving to allow them to come to room temperature. All our desserts taste best at room temperature

  • Store leftover desserts in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Cakes and cupcakes stay fresh for 4-5 days stored this way. Macarons are best consumed within 72 hours of purchase

Condensation on refrigerated cakes and/or fondant decorations is normal and will dry up on its own when left out at room temperature for about an hour. This does not affect the quality or shelf life of the cake/cupcake. Hand painted designs on macarons may fade if left out in a bright, sunny spot or if stored in the refrigerator for an extended period of time.
